The Medium game will finally join the PlayStation 5 family in September, and the game was played on the Xbox and the Windows system.

The Medium is on its way to PS5 with digital and physical versions as well as support for the unique features of the DualSense controller. We were very much suspicious of it thanks to the leaked ESRB rating, but now we have confirmation from the studio itself.

Originally billed as an Xbox console exclusive, the psychological horror game Bloober Team launched on Xbox Series X/S and PC in January. But we now know that The Medium will also launch on PS5 on September 3. It will also be the first time that the game will be available in physical form, and you will be able to get the boxed version for Xbox Series X/S as well as PS5.

In a press release, Bloober confirmed that The Medium on PS5 will come with “full DualSense support.” This means you can expect to feel a variety of different vibration frequencies thanks to DualSense haptic feedback, while the controller’s adaptive triggers simulate the feel of interacting with different objects and performing different actions. Some games, including Final Fantasy 7 Remake: Intergrade, only feature partial DualSense support, so it’s reassuring to hear that The Medium will be more immersive with both adaptive triggers and haptic feedback support.

If you haven’t played The Medium yet, then you should definitely keep an eye out if you are a fan of psychological scares. GamesRadar’s The Medium review isn’t particularly favorable, but other folks – including sister site PC Gamer – found plenty to love.

The Medium allows you to control a spirit medium called Marianne, who is able to roam and interact with the spirit level as well as the living world. The gameplay involves traveling between worlds, investigating clues, and solving puzzles in search of the truth behind the tragic death of a young girl. One notable mechanic, for example, involves going into the Spectrum realm to extract strength from the spirit of a well and then using it to operate fuse boxes in the real world to open doors.
